The Nancy Street Network
This ancient 2009 vintage machine which runs the Nancy Street Network was originally used as a primary software development PC.
Around 2011 it was replaced and demoted to be an office server which sits under the desk. Since then, the RAM was upgraded from 4GB to 8GB and the metal drives were replaced with a single 2TB SSD. It's a miracle of technology and physics that this machine is still working acceptably well after 16+ years.
The host operating system is Windows Server 2019 standard edition, which acts only as the Domain Controller and file server. A Windows Server 2025 standard edition runs in Hyper-V and acts as the IIS web server with SQL Server 2019.
Although this server is visible to the outside world (via an IP address), only this welcome page is accessible to the public.
